Why do we not know when we are in love............

Alot of times it has to do with age and experience. But sometimes we don't know we are in love because what we thought was love before wasn't.

how not? first of all u "like" somebody.. then u hear her thoughts about anything and the way she reacts, the way she is thinking, and then u feel happier and better around her, just talking with her.. then only her smile or eye contact makes u happier.. then u feel lonely without her just a sec and that u can't excist without her.. then u know u r in love.............

Maybe because we are so afraid of rejection.Is there something we know about ourselves that is to painful to deal with.and we hide it...from the world and ourselves.You have to be honest to yourself.Learn to love yourself.Only then can you know you are in love.

i take it this is you and ur "partner"? or just people in general??
um probably because you don't actually know what its like. you can't define love, adn its different for everyone. its a whole lot of emotions adn strings and can be quite scarey. there are also different types of love and this can confuse you.
