To learn ancient Greek, you would have to go to a theological seminary or divinity school. It is a very hard language to learn. My hubby had to take it twice to pass!

I always wanted to learn Latin and in fact took a class...but lack of motivation bit me and I dropped out. I'd really love to learn Spanish(though I can pick up a bit and find a beer or the bathroom!) these days because so many people I know speak it. Just one of those things I haven't done yet.

Practical choice--Spanish. I do have a rather limited vocabulary and some of the grammar down, but nowhere close to fluent.
Personal choice--German. I'm partly of German descent. Other part is Polish but I don't think there is any way I could ever learn Polish.

Italian - I love Italy and would like to eventually move there.
Also, Spanish so I could tour around most of South America and interact with the locals.

I would love to learn Spanish. I have a Spanish friend for 22 years. She speaks English and Spanish but I would love to speak to her and her Spanish only speaking family. I think if you learn a language you need to have someone to speak to so you can speak it well.
