Quoth the ever-insightful Merriam-Webster: Democracy is "a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections."

So, assuming people are voting in free elections, the election is democratic - C got the most votes, ergo C gets the position. However, while democratic, the system is obviously not ideal in that it is easy for a candidate to win without a majority. To remedy this, many systems of voting use alternate methods such as run-off elections or even preferential ranking of candidates. But while this may not be the most representative form of voting, it is democratic nonetheless.

I understand your question.

Thats why we ended up with the two party system, because nobody wanted to vote for A or D because they had little chance to win. Now people only vote for B or C and aren't really represented.

To solve this problem would require a longer election process... (run off) but it would be good for the country.

Actually B got more popular votes but the way the districts were divided, C won. So, it resembles a Democracy.

That is a rather stupid way to ask that question.

It is dependent on what people do with their per cent.

It is those with the high percent that provide the Jobs for those with the lower percent.

Go back to school and do a little studying about economics.

If you want everyone to have the same then in theory Communism is what you want. Yes that is Whit you are hinting at.

the problem with Communism is that it is impossible to do away with greed.
