Hi - I am 39 and have always felt sick in the morning as far back as I can remember. My Doctor told me years ago that it's just where my blood pressure has dropped in my sleep and some people's takes a little longer to rise. When I get up I sit for 20-30 mins with a cup of tea before getting ready. My daughter seems to be the same. Hope this helps.

First Conratulations on the baby!! Second Becareful what you wish for, when I 5 weeks i couldn't wait to feel pregnant. Come week 6 i was beggin god to give me a longer labor just to make the all day sickness go away. Throwing up, concstipation, everything smelled bad, my boobs hurt so much i couldn't even hug my husband, nausea, dizzy, light headed, peeing every 2 hours. Imagine all those feelings happening at once everday for 4 weeks.. Thank God they went away by 10 weeks. Now I have cramps and headaches everyday.. this pregnancy stuff is no joke. i hope you don't ever get sick

I had this feeling and found it was because I was having a cup of tea in the morning on waking up. The caffeine on an empty stomach made me feel sick, I was generally OK after eating breakfast.
I have a cup of boiling water with a little lemon now and haven't felt sick since.

I agree with the lady who was talking about glucose levels. I often feel a little sick in the morning, especially if i had a lot of desert the night before! if you eat something and you feel better I wouldn't worry about it too much. Try to eat something with protein and fiber in it to balance you out a little bit more. I often eat some cheese or an egg to help balance a sugar rush.

If after eating breakfast you feel okay again, then I'd be thinking low glucose levels are making you feel queasy first thing in the morning. That can also make you slightly dizzy. This doesn't mean that you're diabetic, not at all - it simply means that what you ate before going to sleep had a high metabolic absorption rate (a high GI rating). Before going to bed, try eating an apple and see if that resolves your morning symptoms. Apples are low GI rated. (GI=glucose index)

I had this, I actually retched most mornings, but I was better as soon as I'd had something to eat, my b/f made me take a pregnancy test, but I think it was mostly down to stress in my case. See your doc if you're concerned*

It could be stress related. If your job is very stressful, the thought of going to work and another day of something you hate, might make you feel nauseous. Hope you feel better soonxxxx
