Google.com can give great pictures of windmills.
Or, Get a copy of 'Popular Mechanics', and see the design given there in.
Thin acrylic sheets, thick water-repellant paper, or even thick polythene sheets can form the sails of the windmill.
Wooden 'Bobbins' from empty thread bobbins can be used as gears, and rubber bands cut up from old cycle tyre/tube used as the driving chain.
Plain long steel wire (like knitting needles) can be used for the windmill frame structure.
Good luck, and god-speed!

hey u reminded me of my 10th grade where i hv also prepared the same model. it was of talcom powder round case cut from top to make it hollow. and attach a wire in it straight coming out of that box and twist inside( so that when wings rotate water in that box will flow) , i hd broken my brother's aeroplane's wing to be attached with that wire and small hole in that box for a tap (with the help of a straw) to flow water. place thos box on a wooden or card board.
