Sounds like perimenopause, the runup to actually going thru the no-periods change. I'm in the same boat! Try snakeroot (Eleuterococcus) and soy isoflavons to help with the sweats and mood swings, they really do help a lot.
Not much fun, esp. on those days that you can burst in to tears if someone just looks at you. Speak to your gynae soonest. The younger you start your periods, the younger you stop. I started this at about your age...not pleasant. Best of luck.

It sounds to me like the early signs of the menopause,as your mum started @38 it sounds likely that the same could be happening to you. I am not sure what you can do about it apart from push your doctor for some help & advice. I hope you feel better soon. All the best Claire.xx

Hello,
Excessive sweating is a clinical condition where parts of the body are sweating beyond what the body needs.
It is commonly an inherited condition and can affect those who suffer from it on a social, functional, and emotional level.
Heavy sweating (also known as hyperhidrosis) is a very real and embarrassing problem, but there are some effective ways to treat it.
Before you hide under bulky sweaters or move to a chillier climate, you can try these proven techniques for combating excessive sweating: http://hyperhidrosis.toptips.org
Cheers.

Hi - could be the menopause but sounds to me like stress, or a hormonal imbalance. Stress because of the emotional signs (been there, done that, wept at the doctors office!) but the sweating etc sounds like hormones. I hope your results give you some clues. In the meantime, try oil of evening primrose, see if that regulates the moods. Good luck xx

This sounds to me like your blood sugar levels are low. You say you are a very busy person, and that you exhaust easily. This could indicate a slight anaemia.
As a qualified herbalist, I recommend that you try to take things easier for a while, you need to slow down a bit, that is what your body is telling you.
Make sure you are drinking AT LEAST 2 litres of water a day, on top of your tea, coffee etc. Eat 3 square meals a day with 5 portions of fruit and veg and make some time for yourself to chill and relax. This is NOT impossible, believe me. You will begin to feel better very soon.
Looking after ourselves is equally as important, if not more so than looking after others. If you would like some Herbal/Medical advice, email me and we can discuss things.

It could be menopause, the other possible cause is a thryroid problem. If you are having blood tests these should hopefully include tests for both. You should ask your GP for a referral to an specialist if he is unable to make a diagnosis from the blood results. Good luck.

I cant see that it could be anything other than an early menopause, especially if your mum had hers at 38. I sailed through mine (you really wanted to hear that didnt you) sorry, but I just wanted to say that I cant empathise but I do sympathise with your symptoms as my mum had a terrible time with hers. Go and see your gp for some help.

Sounds like early Menopause, i started @ 40, if it is they will start you on hormone treatment, don't poo poo it work great but you have to give it a little while to get into your system, plus find the Right medication for you.
I was really p........... off when i had to come off it after 10 years because it made me feel so full of life.
Good luck

because of the fact that your mother started menopause at 38, it could very well be menopause. Talk to your doctor about it.
