Keep it short but sweet. Say what you would bring to the party! Highlight the 3 most important aspects on your application.

All about your interest in environmental issues that you have had since you were 2 years old and just about able to walk. You are also very interested in cosmetics and how they help to improve the wearer's self-image and if you could only work for a company that can combine the two, just like Lush, it would be your dream job.

Most cover letters are a brief overview of your experience along with three bullet points about past accomplishments. When I review a resume I spend around 30 seconds looking over everything supplied so make sure to use viable keywords and positive wording throughout.

You know the kind of people they employ at Lush I assume, so portray yourself to be identical. Smiley, bubbly personality, happy to help in a busy team, upbeat etc.etc. This is a covering letter, not your CV so just give an indication of personality.

Sell yourself - Use words such as keen to learn (don't portray yourself as a person who knows it all) able to contribute to a mutual agenda that is effective in delivering customer service, innovative, enjoys team work, give examples of the best customer service you gave or have experienced. Talk about how much you love their products and what you have tried (if you haven't do some research)
