my husbond and I have been kicked out of our flat, and nned to find a place (1 bedroom flat) ASAP around walthamstow (maybe the village). We just started looking, but have'nt had much luck. Any good ideas where to look?

Have you tried Loot? both the paper and the on-line version? properties go very quickly, so best to get on day of publication and start calling straight away. - Otherwise sign up for their on-line service, it costs a bit to register, but not much. It's one of the easiest ways to find a place in London -and a good mix of private landlords and agents

If you have pinpointed an area you want to live in try the newsagents and post office notice boards in the area, the property section of the local paper, you can also rent through an agency, it'll cost more though
