Appropriate for what? Fun? Looks? Or do you just mean the best place overall. I know a lady with a pierced clitoris. She told me it didn`t hurt to get the little stud put in and she loves it, she wishes she had it done years ago. Also gives men no excuse for not being able to find it anymore hahaha

Anywhere on the genital area is probably not a good idea as you can leave yourself open to many infections due to the nature of the area. I personally would not do it.
