Thousands of people spend millions of bucks on these rascals. 99% of these are fake and conmen/women. Unfortunately, TV channels, newspapers, magazines, priests, spiritual leaders and family elders patronize this scum of society. They not only charge hefty fees but also induce 'clients' to perform rituals to appease planets and stars, change names, wear expensive gems, visit far-off temples and villages to appease serpents and at times demand sexual favours. I am a firm believer in God but I consider this lot as a bane of our society. There must be a law to punish them. They are criminals.

There should instead be a law to prosecute bashers, hecklers and slanderers.

So you want to impose YOUR views on those thousands of people? They make their own choices, and it's their money. If they want to spend money on "rascals" and "criminals", what can you do about it?

To say that they should not, and to try and stop them with the law, is to be a dictator.....like Hitler was.

Are you envious of the money the astrologers make? Aha, that tells us you were born under a malefic and afflicted star!

And why are you here in the Horoscopes section? We don't need your narrow-minded opinions, thank you!

If you feel so strongly about this, why don't you tell YA that this category is criminal and get them to ban it?

You're obviously in the wrong section..........and no wonder, those with narrow minds can't see or think straight.

WHY DO U WANT TO PROSECUTE THEM.

Astrology is science as well as art. I think u never got to meet a good one or may be u are a non beliver but I have seen many instances where predictions have come true.

The whole problem is fakes. Every person is interested to know what will happen next and these fakes use this and make money. Finding a good astrologer is really difficult and even if you find one and if dont follow him what will you get.

I don't totally agree that it is a crime because most people just go to them (astrologers, palmists, etc) for fun. Some people take it seriously, but isn't it up to them to believe and to tell what is right from wrong.

On the other hand, if it comes to the point of inducing people to doing things which aren't right, like demanding sex. Then that's a criminal offence. There should be a law to punish those who commit such a crime and to protect victims of these kind of scams.

Well thats exactly why the Church was seperated from state (though that seperation seems to becoming more and more blurred) there is alot of people that believe in this kind of stuff, just like you believe in your god. but immagine if a different religion was as mainstream as christan and catholic church. how would u like to be punished for the belief in your almighty god. and you were seen as the bane of socieity.

while i admit there are alot of fakes. astrology, numerology and palm readers are a prcaticed spiritual belief. it does so by recognizing patterns in our own lives. and the other mediums in which has not been disproven yet. to see years of such a practice to go down the drain because no one is allowed to practice it is a waste of thousands and thousands of years of accumulated knowledge.

as for the sexual favors, theyre are unfavorable people in all areas of the world, including christanity, im still seeing the odd priest go to jail for child molestation. would you like to see the belief banned because of the actions of a handfull of priests?

Attack the argument not the arguer.
Just read in today's paper

A German court has ordered a self-proclaimed witch to refund a client her hefty fee for a spell that failed to win back the woman's boyfriend.
The court ruled the witch must pay back the $1,275 on the grounds she offered a service that was ''objectively completely impossible.'' AP

If they charge fees, it makes sense to have a binding contract.

Find someone who plays first edition "Advanced Dungeons & Dragons" and give the Tarot cards to them, and suggest he or she use the Tarot cards for "the Deck of Many Things" (Dungeon Master's Guide, page 142).

Funny, that is what the Romans said about the Christians. They were wrong, too.
