this person knows they are dying. You have never met them before in your life, you have no idea why they are dying. they are dying now, no chance to ask how or why.You don't know if they are religious or not. you must respect that individual, because they are a human being, regardles of what you think their religion might or might not be...WHAT DO YOU SAY IF ANYTHING AT ALL?

Usually if they are conscious they will want to tell you something to pass on to their family and loved ones. The best thing you can do is assure them and promise to get their message out

Actually, I can think of more things "NOT TO SAY" than things to say. I am pretty sure that I would know what to say when and if I am ever placed in that situation. . .Not knowing why they are dying makes me wonder how I would know they are dying?

I think I would say a prayer over them and then ask if they needed me to do anything for him like call his family, etc.

to die means to become unconcious. so if eventually one is dying in my hand I have no alternative than to pray to God to forgive the person and rember the individual during resurection

I would ask them if they believed in God ?
If they couldn't answer, I would pray for them out loud.
I would say to God that, "I didn't know this
person Spiritually. I pray that they accept Jesus Christ
as their Savior, and that You keep them near. Amen
