Men have the same basic facilities for breastfeeding that women do, the only real difference is size and capacity, the breastmilk itself is identical to a woman's. That part is fact, a man could use hormones to stimulate breastfeeding or stimulate breastfeeding naturally as has been noted in several cases.

Now the main question particularly for men is how do you feel about this information?

For women, particularly women with male partners, how would you feel if your husband choose to breastfeed(biological children)?

It makes me feel sad, because so many people discount this even though it's fact, and that human breastmilk is breastmilk no matter what the source. I think it's also a touch sexist to say that it's "unnatural" or "disgusting." Hmm, seems disturbing when we apply that to female breastfeeders, which they have been up in arms about for years. Why would we apply that judgment to males as well?

For the record, I don't even have a male partner - I do however have a female one, and we both plan to breastfeed our future children. Four breasts = ensures Junior always has food. I wonder what people will say about THAT.

I think its awesome! Especially if something were to happen to the mother, a baby might still get some of those vital antibodies and nutrients that fake milk can never copy. but, I'd worry about all those hairs gagging the baby;-)

Well, its enlightening to know they can breastfeed. I'd rather it remained a theoretical aspect though.

About them getting to breastfeed the kids...lets live it the way God designed us. Its the woman's gift. Men can help babysit the kids....after they are fed by mummy.

It sounds odd and disgusting for me, as a man, to breastfeed my baby, even if it were possible. I abhor the idea of trading roles with women, especially when it is unnatural.
