Indian passport holders gets a 1 week visa for Philipines on arrival or can get a 30 days tourist visa from their embassy in New Delhi. Check with your travel agent because visa rules change often.

GENERAL VISA INFORMATION FOR INDIAN NATIONALS APPLYING THROUGH THE CONSULAR SECTION OF THE PHILIPPINE EMBASSY IN NEW DELHI

1. All Indian nationals, regardless of type of passport held, require a Philippine visa to enter the Philippines.

2. Indian nationals are allowed to apply for temporary visitor’s visa for business and/or pleasure at the country of origin, place of legal residence and countries that require entry visas to Indian nationals.

3. Only the Philippine Embassy in New Delhi processes and issues temporary visitor’s visa for pleasure.

4. The issuance of a temporary Visitor’s visa for pleasure with multiple- entry privileges and/ or with an authorized period of stay of more than thirty (30) days requires prior approval from the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila.

5. Only the Philippine Embassy in New Delhi issues multiple-entry business visas. It will have a maximum validity period of six months. For a validity period of one year, the approval of the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila is to be secured.

6. Indian nationals visiting the Philippines for the following purposes do not fall under the temporary visitor category:
(a) to study at a university, seminary, academy, college or school, approved for such foreign students by the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation
(b) to assume employment or practice a vocation or profession in the Philippines
(c) to join a family member residing in the Philippines

As such, the school/ potential employer/ family member should apply for an appropriate visa through the Philippine Bureau if Immigration and Deportation in the Philippines. For additional information, you may visit their website at www.immigration.gov.ph .

7. An application for a temporary visitor’s visa is not favorably considered if, after consular evaluation of the documents, information available and/or interview, it can not be clearly established that the applicant intends to honor the “temporary visitor” status accorded him/her by the visa.

8. The visa to be issued by the consular officer shall correspond to the visa category applied for. No visa of any other kind shall be issued to an applicant, nor shall he/she be issued a visa other than the kind corresponding to his status.

9. As a rule, the visa application form must be personally filled out by the applicant.

10. A Philippine visa application for submission should include the completed visa application form, the required supporting documents stated in the application form, and the visa processing fee.

Any discrepancy between the data on the application form and other related supporting documents may result in the disapproval of the visa application.

11. The application for visa submitted by an applicant, personally or through a representative, will not be accepted if the visa application form is not correctly completed or the basic documentary requirements are not made available or the demand draft for the visa processing fee is not given.

12. SCHEDULE OF SUBMISSION OF VISA APPLICATION: The Consular Section of the Embassy of the Philippines New Delhi is open for accepting visa applications and other consular services at 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM Monday to Fridays, except during Philippine/Indian holidays.

13. Upon submission of completed visa application requirements, the applicant or the applicant’s representative will receive a release form. This form will contain the date when the result of the visa application will be available.

14. PROCESSING FEE: The visa processing fee for Indian nationals is Rs 2000.00, payable to the Embassy of the Philippines in the form of a demand draft drawn from a bank in New Delhi.

15. PROCESSING TIME: The visa processing time is two (2) working days, barring unforeseen circumstances or the need for additional requirements that may extend the processing time for a day or more. For example, when an application is submitted on a Monday, the applicant or his authorized representative may return on Wednesday morning to find out the result of the visa application. Saturday, Sunday and Philippine/Indian holidays will not be counted as processing days. Incomplete submission of basic requirements will cause a delay in the processing of your visa.
