pokerstars.com may be a good bet, party poker is pulling out of the US market becuase of the recent pressure put on online poker by congress, at least this is the rumor. Pokerstars also has a real friendly interface to work with, easy to bet, you can pick a player image and stuff like that. It is also an extremely large poker room so their will be a lot of players to play with.

Try poker.com. They have a large player base and still allow Americans, plus they run a bunch of free fun tournaments that have cash prizes. http://www.pokercs.com/_1c082a9cf0dcfc9c3c43ac8a3f66f869/

Other than that, maybe try Stars?
