Scrapbooks are great, but it takes a bit of creativity to make them really nice. I takes money too. If you have children or don't have children or all kinds of little smurfs in your family, and you want a gift for everyone else in the family that loves them, take some poster board, find a nice mat and really nice frame, and get all the little loved kids in the family to put their little paws in paint, and put it on the poster board. You can do their feet too. It may take a while to go to each family member's househould to do it, but it is an inexpensive, loving gift that will always be remembered and someday handed down to those very same children's children. Make sure you get someone with the nicest penmanship to write their little bitty names in little bitty letters next to their hand or feetprints. :)

I have seen no-sew fleece blanket kits at the craft stores. I've never made one so I don't know how good those are. But if you have sewing skills, they should be easy to make.
You could give edible gifts. Cookies, mini loaves of pumpkin or zucchini bread. The mixes for various things in the jars (cookies, cocoa, etc) are popular.
It comes down to what your budget and skills are.

Hohoho :)
A handmade gift will show that you care.
The best is that you buy a craft kit with clear instrcutions if you're not specially a craft person.
Some easy gift are:
*Candles
*Decorated gift baskets
*Cake/cookies
*scrapbook
*Painted glass or plates

If you sew, or knit or anything like that, you can make all sorts of things like afghans, or Christmas ornaments for the tree etc. If you don't do anything like that, you can maybe try making gift baskets with fruit or soap, or anything else the people you are making the gifts for like.

are you able to knit? Make him a headband or hat to maintain him heat and snug! in case you like the belief of the headband, yet do no longer understand the thank you to knit... you're able to run in to an area craft keep or maybe your library... there are a great number of books approximately getting to grasp to knit! as quickly as you get the dangle of it, knitting is fantastically person-friendly and relaxing! making a headband is the 1st knitting venture that I ever made, and it took me a pair of days. stable success!

Sew soft toys. It's actually quite fun, I love making cuddly animals.

*christmas baubles with your name (or their name) and Christmas 2006 painted on in glitter.
*beaded jewellery
*stamp/paint some paper and use it to cover a blank note book to make a journal
*using small foam balls, use a nail file to push small squares of xmas-themed fabric in. you repeated it all over to make it look like quilting.
