Creating a brand image isn't about tactics - it's a long term strategy which involves understanding what it is you're offering, who you want to target, what that target think of your offering and what will be relevant and motivating to them. When you understand your audience/target - then you can engage with them. Rarely are brands created over-night and rarely without solid marketing expertise

interesting question, most brands don't use a tactic for their image. For the brand image try focussing on an ethos that sums up what your brand is about.

tactics themselves may depend on the subject matter of the on line portal, need more information, tactics can rab=nge from guerrila marketing to more traditional, what type of image do you want to portray? answer that and the tactics may answer themselves.
