Get this one, so you don't have to buy a video card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813138269 It's stable, and has a good chipset. And get this processor, it's 200 Mhz faster, for less than $5 more than a 3000: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103535

You should get an AM2 socket, because it is newer and will be easier to upgrade in the future if you choose to do so. Also, it uses DDR2 RAM instead of DDR, and DDR2 is faster. ASUS is the best brand in my opinion, gigabyte is also good. If you want recommendations on a specific board and processor, give me an email with your price range, its in my profile.
