Air Asia is a discount airline. It is a Malaysian company with its head office in Kuala Lumpur but also operates subsidiaries like Thai Air Asia and Indonesia Air Asia which fly domestic routes in those counties.
I flown them lots of times in many countries. They are a pretty standard budget airline and almost always have the best price on the routes they operate.

Although originally formed and registered in Malaysia, note that there are offshoots of this airline now, namely Air Asia - Thailand and another one in Indonesia which I have forgotten its name.
Check out their websites for ridiculously low fares!
