Both my parents are gone now, but when they were still here I was closer to my dad. I didn't really know my mom as well as I could have, as she died when I was 13. I still feel close to them even though they have passed on. I talk to them as if they were here, mostly when I need advice.

No I'm not.

My parents divorced when I was young and my siblings and I went to live with our nan.
The relationship with my Mother is shaky as she has some serious trust issues and that is due to her surroundings and the people she associates with. We just don't connect because of her over analytical, critical, paranoid attitude. I stay away from negative people.
My Dad, I can relate to a little but he has another family and I hardly see him. He comes to me when he needs something done pertaining to his work or when they have something happening at his place like a birthday and such. But we are not that close enough where he would be the first person I would go to if I was in trouble.
That's where my Uncle comes into it. He was the male figure when I was growing up with my Grandmother.

Not any more. I was a Daddy's Girl, then very close with my Mom as a young teen, then very distant in the last 16 years. I go months without talking to either of them.

I wasn't close with my father. He passed away last month and I feel very regret that I didn't try to understand him more when he was alive. That was a mistake that I can never ever un-do it in my life.
I didn't realize how much i care for him until he passed away all of a sudden. I miss him so much and I hope that he is happy in heaven.

Well lets see now, I'm 49, singl and live in the basement of my Mother's home.
I know, it's supposed to be the other way round. We don't have a family owned Motel to run. The house is on the top of a hill tho.

I am. Sometimes I wish I was a little closer so I could tell them how I feel about some things, but overall I feel I have a very good relationship with them.

I am more close to my mom than my dad... He was in and out of my life as a child and now I really don't know him and he doesn't understand me... So I try and see him when I have to..

I'm close to them but i don't tell them many things, i'm quite reserved and kept things to my self. I'm also not big on showing affection, but deep down i love and respect them very much.
