Lote Tuqiri, born September 23, 1979 in Namatakula, Fiji, played for Australia in rugby league and rugby union.

He is a winger and has played in rugby league domestically with the Brisbane Broncos in 1999 and 2001. He played six games for Queensland in the State of Origin series in 2001 and 2002. He captained Fiji in the 2000 World Cup but in 2001 was picked to play for Australia.

In 2002 he switched codes, moving from league to play union with the Waratahs. He also plays union internationally for the Wallabies, having made his test debut in 2003 against Ireland. He was widely considered the best Winger in Australian rugby. On the Wallabies 2005 tour of British Isles and Europe he was moved in-field to outside centre due to a considerable loss of backs through injury, during that tour.

Lote Tuqiri as one of Rugby’s true superstars, has consistently proven himself to be the best winger in world Rugby. Lote has represented Australia at sevens and Fiji in rugby league.♥
