I work with a guy alone most of the time at night and he started to talk to me about a man's pee pee (short term for you know what) and details why he had a sex - change. i was uncomfortable but i didnt right away say anything. two days later he mentioned to me about him not being very professional and i did say "well these past two nights in what you say haven't been, no". Do you think he is testing me or do you think he is just being a man and being stupid? And what does this mean?

Thank you. I am a female and your right he is lucky. im not stupid, I know its sexual harrassment but I never want to be that "person" to do that! I dont like conflict nor to start any kind of trouble. But if it does continue, I will say something next, thanks.

I have had jobs most of my life in a mans world and being a female that is very trying at times. You have to let the men know where you stand. Never I mean Never have a conversation with anyone man or women that makes you feel uncomfortable. You have to let him know right away that you do not wish to talk about stuff like that. Tell him that if it continues you will go to a supervisor. If he does not like it too bad.....
This problem happens a lot where women are working with men all day. I have actually hit a man before on a construction job. We had been working together for quite some time, I never act or dress inappropriate and one day he walked up and said how you doing this morning and grabbed my butt. I turned around and slapped him and said do not ever do that again or you will not be working here. And after that he had respect for me and it never happened again. I am not saying to hit someone but you have to stand up for yourself and let him know right away that it is not acceptable conversation and you do not want to hear it. Good Luck I hope things work out for you.

He's just being a guy. You were right to let him know how you felt. It isn't at all comfortable to be in that situation. Hopefully he has learned to drop the topic, but if he brings it up again you may now remind him that you didn't appreciate the conversation before and you haven't changed your mind.

You don't say if you are also male or not, but if this is an opposite sex situation (or the sexual orientation is same sex) his conversation could be considered sexual harrassment. You might remind him of that as well. A lot of people don't think of things that way and so a gentle reminder could also stop things before they get started. I am not suggesting you threaten him with this, but he is pretty lucky you aren't the sort of person who quickly reports those sorts of things.

Hope that helps. Best wishes.

If he had a sex change, he is out of whack, along with his ideas, thoughts and what comes out of his mouth, in the future just tell him you guys need to keep it professional for everyone's sake and to keep it safe. His personal matters are his business and same with you. Tell him you'd rather keep things that way. Bring a good book to read to fill in those long periods of silence
You'll be glad you did this, he will have lots of stuff to say, but it won't do you any good, it's rubbish to your mind and you need to fill it with good stuff.

Doesn't matter what he's about. What's important is what you're about. If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything. Be the best you, you can be; the rest of the world can accept it or reject it.

<>If you are uncomfortable about what he is saying, ask him to stop. If he doesn't, talk to the boss. If he still doesn't, file and EEO complaint.
