I do not think the death penalty should be abolished, as a matter of fact, it should be introduced in some states in America. I just got out of the military and I have had the chance to tour the world. Countries with capital punishment have very little sadistic crimes. When we were station in the middle east, u don't hear of people walking into schools and killing everyone........

Why especially in China? Is it because they have a population over 1 billion or is it because the life of Chinese are less important? Death penalty shoud be abolished at all... It is not an effective punishment either.

Killing the guilty brings nothing back...

I think that death penalty should be changed with lifelong servitude to the families of the victims... The criminal should be placed in a special designed government institute, which is also a prison for those criminals. All the amount of income he earns during his servitude should be paid to the family. I know that money also don't bring what one has lost but at least it offers some kind of compensation.

Yea...this is the thing...you can't say: "don't kill people or I will kill you"...the argument that statement would be...if someone killed your loved one you would want them put to death...and that is true...I probably would...I guess what I'm saying is even that wouldn't make it right...
