All books I have read say not to follow this. Ouija boards often call back undead who are just waiting to harm you. DON"T try it. Alchemy is some type of sorcery. Novels have it. A warlock? Warlord is a leader of an Orc tribe.
Wiccas practise the art of forecasting. Not all want to do harm.
I analyze about vampirology and some forms of witch if they come across. Intriguing.

It all depends on what you're trying to do. I'm not a witch, but a chaos mage; my approaches to magic are very different, more occult than pagan. One way or the other, as mentioned above, plenty of good books on it. For witchcraft in particular, I like Ann Moura's Green Witchcraft series.

"Special abilities" are not strange powers, it is what you are born with. Some people develop them and others shun them.

Pj - wiccan, paganism, spiritualism, etc is not the worshipping of satan. Do not deride a person for their search for knowledge in other areas than those you believe in.

Christianity (which is a very new religion) took many rites and customs from paganism and made them their own, to (try to) "convert" those who were in tune with the natural world, as most were.

You can go to your local library and look up books about witchcraft. It starts with a code of ethics and then goes into the craft itself. I recommend Goodly's Book of Spells for an explanation of it all and tips on how to get started.
