I don't care what people say, John Kerry is a wise man. It's about time he came out and put the republicans in their place. How great was he on REAL TIME with Bill Maher three weeks ago?
Hope he reruns for presidency, sure as hell gettin' my vote.

Those who bring Senator Kerry down are fools, indeed.

I know exactly what you mean. He took them to task for all the negative crap and spinning they do and then the White House did it again. I saw him on Bill Maher and I saw him being interviewed by Chris Wallace on 60 minutes and thought to myself both times the reasons voters dont connect with him is because he doesnt dumb his words down enough. He used complex sentences filled with logic and fact and big words and they just cant understand him apparently. I am with you on him being a great President though, he is the model of what a President of the worlds only super power should be.

I thought it was great even better than when Bill Clinton got in that so called news guys face....Chriss bobble head something.
For being a parrot and repeating falshoods as true.
I just happened to turn on Cspan when it was about to happen.
I think Kerry learned his lesson from the last election. You have to hit back and do it hard.
He stuck to the facts and the facts will prevail except for the people who are less inteligent than the fearless leader we have now And those who HAVEN'T DONE THEIR HOMEWORK (Tee Hee I just had to add that given the nature of the question)
I think everyone will see it from their side. the Republicans will find fault and the Dems will agree with him. It is the independents, progressives and greens that they want to influence.
I doubt Kerry will be the next pick, I like Edwards best myself.
If they stick to a message and have a plan that has a chance to be better that is what we all want.
I don't care who comes up with a better plan I just want a plan and not the failed polices and a refusal to hear things that counter the preconceved notions they seem to have.

No, Kerry (and ALL Democrats) would REALLY activate the electorate if they'd call Bush and Cheney LIARS, not feeble statements like "the lies of this administration blah blah blah....". We should really blast them hard.
Democrats should call Bush and Cheney "cowards" (which they are).
I mean, let's go!!.
I pasted this excerpt from a column written by Garrison Keillor from a column he wrote for Salon.com:
"Congress once spent an entire year investigating a married man's attempt to cover up an illicit act of oral sex but has shown no curiosity whatsoever about a war that this administration elected to wage, that has killed and maimed hundreds of thousands and led our own people to commit war crimes, and squandered hundreds of billions of dollars and degenerated into civil war. The contrast is deafening. Republicans haven't tolerated much dissent in their ranks".
Kerry or ANYBODY would be an improvement.

I think most of the answers here miss the mark. the comments Kerry made impuned the integrity of those serving more than attacking republicans specifically. More over it has lit a firestorm of debate focused on his comments and directed attention away from the issues that most Dem. strategist are trying to focus the public attention on pre-election. The Republicans couldn't be happier with the situation. That is what has some high level Democrats VEry Very pissed off. His timeing was simply awfull from their point of view

Kerry is a great man and DESERVED to be President...
He was born with a silver spoon that he didn't want and has been working FOR THE PEOPLE, AND THE ARMED FORCES ever since college... NOT THE RICH (like Bush)!
We need about 50 million more people like Kerry !

Yes, it is about time we stood our ground. Loved Bill Clinton on Fox, loved that Kerry stood his ground today!
Bush is a moron, and if he had listened to us in the first place, we wouldn't have the quagmire we have today, and instead of 3000 dead young men and women, we would have lost a few hundred in Afghanistan. moreover, we would have caught Osama bin Laden.
Keep standing your ground, ALL Democrats. We will right this ship with all of our efforts!

I didn't vote for him and still won't. However I hope the Dem's come up with someone of greater merit. John's comment about the troops in Iraq today and his I won't apologies remarks don't help his party out one bit. I am not happy with how our Presidents doing either. However, I would like to see someone, anyone show better judgment and wisdom that would give us hope again. I don't vote for parties, I vote for the person.

If the Republicans can attack John Kerry (and they have big time) then he can attack back. (Freedom of Speech still exists for everyone-- not just Republicans)

Your scholastic achievement is what's troubling me.
How can a seemingly bright person be so perceptively narrow?
Don't deflect or minimize Kerry's attack; it was directed as a slight against our military.
You are doing yourself a grave injustice.
Stop the self obfuscating
