First of all, its a logical impossibility to prove a negative....regardless of the subject, let alone the fantastical idea that there's a supernatural sentient being out there.
Without proof, its just fanciful thinking. To say that the bible says so is not proof. To look at the sunset, butterflies, and complex human organisms is not proof. To say that there is intelligent design to the universe or mankind can't explain why there were over 15 hominids that didn't make it, most notably the Neandertals. What are we, the new and improved models? What of the diseases, parasites, predations, and existence of evil in the world?
It reminds me of the movie "The God's Must Be Crazy," where an African Tribesman finds a Coke bottle in the desert. I find parallels between his thinking and the modern day Theist very similar...."hmmm, bottle fall from heaven, must be God," and "hmmm, look at the beautiful sunsets, birds, complex human oranisms, must be God." Both are explaining one unknown with another, but proving nothing.
But, alas, there's a scientific reason for our belief in god using CAVE MAN logic, it's in our genes. To survive in a hostile environment, our ancestors developed a god to believe in, to give them succor in time of peril and to cushion them from the despairing future of their utter death and annihilation.

First off brainstorm you're really not thinking enough, and if you are "brainstorming" you're not thinking too well. Refute a proposition without evidence if you believe that proposition without evidence? What are you thinking??? Why did the idea of the atom, which sprung from Democritus in Greece, survive 2000 years and not be refuted out of hand the very moment it was considered? Because having no evidence does not prove something wrong! The truth is that it is impossiable to prove the existance of God, but that doesn't mean He doesn't exist; you can still concider His exstance, you just can't prove it. So it's ok to believe in Him.

What about one who neither affirms or denies? I have stated that God is not necessary to the creation or the running of the universe. Physics provides the the argument for this.
I challenge the concept of a personified God as pure garbage. I hold that if God exists, any concept of it is equally valid.
Bear in mind, if God exist, it is the ultimate alien. Far beyond the most basic of concepts by the mind of man.

I believe for the very sake of myself. I am a miracle because no man, regardless how educated they are can create a person with real emotion, independent thought, and hope. They would be cloning and that is NOT creation. JOKE: A scientist and God were talking one day and the scientist told God that he could create a person too. God said, "Really, show me." So the Scientist took out the embryo and was just about to begin when God said, "That is mine. Create your own." ~Good Luck with that!

There are three types of people in this world -- theist, atheist, and one who investigate.
The first two are diametrically opposed to each other since the dawn of civilizations.
Theist believe that there is god since religion, propagators of religion and most of the people in society believe. So he or she believes blindly.
Atheist just want proof without investigation, he or she just want to oppose for the sake of opposing, creates counter arguments. He also believes blindly in his logic and argumentation.
Both of them are such people who don't even bother to investigate what is beyond all this physical phenomena. What is that which remains always a witness to all, what is its nature, what is his or her consciousness' nature.
Hence, according to me both are supertitious; caught in the web of their discursive consciousness and are not able to see things in clarity. Each group is obsessed with their counter arguments.
The third type of person is more concerned to look into the matter deeply irrespective of any inclination towards whether god exists or not. Makes a search, investigate into that which remains invisible but is always a witness to all and every act.
Therefore, an investigative mind is better than a discursive mind.

I don't have to prove the non-existence of anything - that is impossible but insisting that proof must be provided merely gives credence to any and every crackpot theory there is. Why atheistism? Too much hypocracy, too little rationality and too much wickedness apparently allowed and performed in the name of a 'God' of love. I agree that agnosticism is a more defensible postiion in line with all scepticism.

A true Catholic believer of God believes in Him. It is more important to believe than to make sure if He really exists. Because it is our faith that is important to be saved by God. No matter what, He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
That is GOD!

I've got only one thing to say here,God fills in where sceince stops.Sceince cannot tell what happens to life after death, but god can.Sceice dissapproves the theory of ghosts and the supernatural and the paranormal, but some religions have their theories on it.Sceince has many theories about how this world was created,God has only one!Sceince creates miracles artificially, but God does it for real!

A true atheist never argue existence or nonexistence of GOD. He asks :"if GOD exists why does not HE send me HIS visit card? and until the postman delivers this visit card, I am in this waiting situation which is called by ordinary people 'ATHEISM'".
As a matter of fact many visit cards from GOD have been sent to people by many postmen during centuries. But those atheists never wanted to receive them: they said to the postman that they do not recognize the "sender".

If God exist, he/she/it could end this argument right now. Perhaps by banging the heads of both believer and unbeliever. One for putting words in his/her/it mouth (if there is one), and the other for wasting time.
I believe what I believe and try not to impose it on others. Others must seek their own truths in their own time, in their own pace. If this takes another thousand years...
