It's the weirdish short story written by Edgar Allan Poe... (what'd you expect? Care Bears?)
Yea. So for those who have read this, does the narrator or the villian state his name through this? Is it known at all?

THANK YOU!!!!

I love this story, and this is the time of year when those of us who are teachers love to share the story with our students.
The narrator is Montressor, and he uses first person narration.
The other character, against whom Montressor vows revenge, is Fortunato--ironic name, as Fortunato does not end up being very fortunate. I know the story can be a little hard to follow if you are trying to read it silently but are surrounded by distractions, or if you a not a confident reader. While Poe's English may be a little more formal than what you are used to, this is one creepy story that is well worth the efforts you make! If I were your English teacher, I would read the whole story out loud to your class...in a dark classroom, on a dark, windy, rainy day. I hope you enjoy the story, and if you get stuck and don't understand it, post another question.

Brilliantly written short, with, a little known music adaption by Allen Parsons Project, see, A Cask of Amontillado. All ways made me crave a sherry.
