Can an actor be a genius? If so, who are some other genius actors? Why do you come to this conclusion?

Yes....she is very talented.......her role as Katherine Hepburn was inpeccable in the movie "The Aviator".......she managed to capture the mannerisms and voice so well.....that it made the movie very believable. She is a serious actor and envelopes her characters completely....a genius..perhaps.......she reminds me more of the classic actresses from years ago......quite talented and more refined.
Other genius actors would be Clive Owen......he also is very choosy about his roles;
Katherine Hepburn of course;
and my favority actor would be Anthony Hopkins......great in his Hannibal movies, Remains of the Day (also a good read), Howards End, he was excellent in "Surviving Picasso".....

Yes, I think Kate Winslet is a genius actress in her generation and beyond.

Kate Winslet is a good actress. Any role she plays she can pull off. Another actress that I admire is Hillary Swank. She is very intelligent actress. I really liked Boys don't Cry, and Million dollar baby. She plays unglamorous rolls, and thats what makes her unique. She is not afraid to get her hands dirty.

I feel there is no such thing as a genius actor.Either one is a actor or one is not.
Some have an inborn talent to act while others who are interested hone their skills learning the nuances of acting from an acting school.
Theres no genius stuf finvolved here i feel.

I don't think she's a "genius" actor but she is choosy about her roles and true to herself without the pressures of Hollywood. There are many actors who are well spoken, intelligent, and admirable, and those are the ones who endure without falling into stereotypical roles.
