Ovulation usually occurs between days 12 and 15 of your cycle. The first day of your cycle is based on the very first day of your period...so count that as day 1. However, ovulation can occur on different days for different women. Some have ovulated on day 10, some haven't ovulated until day 19. Keeping track of ovulation is helpful with an ovulation predictor, learning to chart your basal body temperatures, and learning about your cervical mucus (since the consistency of it can be key to learning if you're ovulating or not).

Think of it this way...... What day did your period start? If it was Oct. 22 and lasted for seven days it would end on Oct. 29th. Usually, but not always, ovulation is on the 13th - 15th day from the first day of your period, which would be Nov. 3rd - 5th.
