im a big guy..about 280..and since summer ive been working out and trying to find more activities that can help me shed the pounds. i started out at about 310 so ive lost a good amount already but i want to find more physically demanding activities. im very very active for my size..always have been..and i wanted to know if paintball would be ok for me. i know that with friends i could play but if we were to enter a match against other people would i be allowed to participate or not? i dont know if there are any limits to the size of the players. ive never really played an organized game and i was just wondering if id be allowed to and also if it would help shed the pounds as well as it seems it would. any answers would be appreciated. thanks.

There is no weight limit at all. I see lots of "bigger" guys playing all the time. a lot of them are really good. it just matters how you play on the field, and i guess the gun you have comes into play a little bit 2...

typically I have found that a lot of men are using woodsball to get out and get some exercise. In tournament ball, you would probably be a decent backman even for your size but with the front positions you need a lot of quickness.

We had a larger fellow out on our field and I thought for sure that he would get smoked...(he is in the range of 400)...not only did this man do a complete duck walk up one of the most dangerous trails, he never got shot, and he picked me off with a single shot by laying in a gully and waiting for me to walk up on him.

Never, underestimate who you are and what you are capable of, you sir are a perfect canidate for the sport of paintball...I would look for a woodsball field in your area to cut your teeth and help with the weight loss and switch to speedball if you think it interests you

There is no weight limit that I know of for paint ball / air soft....you will just be a huge target.......so you may not be that effective on the battle ground.
