ok i bought a "new" game from EB games, or electronics boutique here in canada and it wasnt in that tight plastic wrap like most games. it was cooking mama for nintendo ds. anyways does that mean it was opened or even used? do some places sell the games without the plastic wrap? all it had was a circle sticker on the side of it saying if torn and u wanna return u only have 14 days to do so, and also a sticker on the front with the price on it. please give me ur input, thanks.

i have encountered this before too. the reason for this is because the casing of the game that you bought was used for display purposes on the rack

more likely, as was in my case, it was the last copy of the game. they only had the one case.

i STILL have that game, it's lost magic, and it still has the circle sticker

see, while the cases are on the display racks, the games are not in it, because there are jerks out there that steal the games

they kept the actual game chip in an envelope behind the counter. go in the store tomorrow and ask them, to ease your worrying mind, but they'll only tell you exactly what i told you

the sticker? there's nothing special about it, it just says EB Games or something. and about two weeks returning. it doesn't mention anything about the game being new, it's a generic sticker, and mine's yellow

I've bought games that I recieved like that; Yoshi's island for Gameboy Advance. But it was like that because it was a display copy. It hadn't been used; but it didn't have the plastic sealing. It should be fine; otherwise return it.

There is the possibility that the game you purchased had been previously bought and returned by a different person, then re"sealed" and put back on the shelf

If the store is close take it back. Maybe they keep the game seperate from case for the sake of theives.
