hi y'all im a 14 year old interested in acting classes. i want to do theater because i think i will be able to express myself the way i want others to see me because when i am at school people tend to think im a quite girl. but im not i have a lot of energy but i just cant express myself in front of my peers like that. im very comfortable with my friends im totally open and honest with them. my friends always tell me im never afraid to live life just having fun, no worries. yeah right i have worries i dont want everyone to think im just a dork i want people to see me in a lighter veiw and for me that would be acting. i like having a open fun personality its just that i dont like the spot light on me infront of my popular peers. so i thought with all my energy i should do acting, its a lot of fun i have been in a few plays. but now im in high school and i want people to see me as the chick who is totally full of life and does acting. i think my friends would respect me more and myfamily

It's really cool of you to be interested in acting at a young age. Tell you, it's going to be really fun and you will enjoy it a lot. Just be yourself. I'm sorry though I don't know of any acting schools based in L.A. Why don't you check phone directories. They might be in the yellow pages.

Ask your parents to call the community theatres in Los Angeles and ask where you can take acting lessons.

i think that sounds like an awesome idea! and i wish more kids were like you! i used to do lots of theatre in middle school and high school and that was the best time of my life! i wouldn't trade it for anything.

sorry i dont know of any acting classes in los angeles, but i just wanted to tell you that.

and for the record, don't be afraid to be onstage in front of your popular peers because their opinion doesn't matter anyway - only your opinion of yourself matters! "those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind"!
