Men who underestimate women sometimes need to do so, because of their own perceived shortcomings.
It is a defense mechanism. For some men, it's easier to deal with women by reducing them to a level that is more comfortable to deal with. They do this by stereotyping them, objectifying them, and rejecting them before they have a chance to reject men.
Some men are intimidated and feel inadequate when they encounter an intelligent, successful, capable woman. Sometimes they feel emasculated by this, and need to project their own insecurity on women.
In the animal kingdom, the males show off and strut their stuff, hoping to be chosen by the females to father their offspring. They are highly competitive with other males, sometimes fighting to the death. In today's modern civilization, the females are still the choosers.
No matter how domineering males are, females will always be the choosers. Males will just have to deal with that.

They are stuck in the dark ages. Look at all women have and will continue to do for man-kind (and women-kind alike) Women can do just as much as men and be just as good if not better some things, that being said I believe me are all created equal.

I think those men are just ignorant. They did not have an open and fair education. Otherwise, they would realize and understand that a woman is as valuable in every aspect of life as a man is.

Women are capable of being far more sneaky, underhanded, dishonest and duplicitous than most men give them credit for.
