When the new Iraqi government gets things under control and requests the US to leave. Currently, they are asking the USA to stay and continue building democracy in the middle east.

The only way the US will wiggle it's way outta Iraq is if we stabilize the country enough so it can handle itself (I'm not so sure a democratic government is going to sit in well with the rest of the Middle Eastern countries where they're used to monarchies and religious leaders controlling everything). Or else we get someone else to take over the security and rebuilding; the US can just pay 'em.

I am of the opinion that we are going to stay there for... then a day is going to come when the Iraqis are so sick and tired of us being there that the new Iraqi government begins to turn on us and will ask us to leave.

We are seeing the early stages of this now. Just yesterday, the new Iraqi president demanded we remove road barriers that had been in place for a week after a US soldier went missing. Nothing wrong with his demand but the way he did it was with a public speech that came across very USA defiant.

This invasion for oil conspiracy theory is getting old. We will leave when the job is done. That will be when they have a legitimate stable government that can police and protect itself. We have not received one drop of oil from Iraq. If we pull out now Iran and Al-Qaeda will take over and kill all who are not willing to submit to radical Islam but you people are too stupid to understand this.

Either:
1) when we finish our job there.
Or
2) when a Dem wins the White House & surrenders his 1st day in office.

When US government is sure that US will get the oil....it's always been about it. That discourse about US mission to democratize other countries is just a very stupid excuse.
