There is only one race, the Human race, which can be traced through DNA, back to a single female in Africa. This has been proven, we all have a common ancestor that is the grand-mother of us all.

hmmm. interesting question. You mean like the notion that northern Europeans are mixes of Vikings and Moors and all that? Or Native Americans are decendents of Asians? I think most anthropolgists would agree that the human species developed in three areas...Mesopotamia, Central Africa and Asia.....and that all "races" developed from there....

"Race" is a construct used for purposes of differentiation. Assigning race is very arbitrary. In the late 19th century, for instance, social science text books referred to the "Irish race" as a distinct ethnic group in the US. Few would refer to those from Ireland today as a dinstint race. I was taught that there were three races: black, white, and oriental (Asian). In my opinion, trying to classify people according to race is useless and creates many more problems than it solves. There is only one "race" and it is the race of man or mankind or humankind, if you will. It's not a mixed race. It is one. The sooner we adopt that mindset, the greater the chances become that we will live in peace.

I'd have to say yes. I think you would be hard pressed to find someone who is not of mixed race.
