Yes.....My 5 year old and I were out pretty late and we were walking down the sidewalk...there was a van off to the side of the road...it looked a little fishy, so we crossed the street to go around it. When we got back to our street, I could see a shadow behind us (there had been no other trick or treators out), we walked as fast as we could......when we got home we hurried in and then about 5 minuted later there was a knock at the door.....right now we are hiding under the bed because I think that someone is downstairs............we heard someone open the door. I can't get to the phone so we are hiding uner the bed, but I got a little bored so I thought I would get on here and answer some questions!............HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Omigosh!!! I love ghost stories, but nothing spooky has happened to me for a while, especially since I've been doing meditation.

Oh--a few days ago, after we got home from the Evanescence concert at the Wiltern in downtown LA, we were watching tv at my meditation instructor's house in Venice. He has two Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Gracie and Bronco. Bronco is very sensitive and can "see" things that are beyond our realm of perception.

Suddenly, Bronco started barking very loudly--not the type of bark like when they're hungry or want to go outside; it was a feverish bark, like when a stranger or impending danger is fast approaching.

He pointed his muzzle up, like he was looking at something through the large French doors. We looked out, but saw nothing. My meditation instructor looked at me and said, "That's probably a demon out there." He instructed me to close my eyes and focus on my heart. "Bring in the feeling of gratitude," he said.

So we both closed our eyes and focused on our heart, coupled with the feeling of gratitude.

But Bronco kept barking and barking. His bark got even louder, as if the thing was getting closer. I could sense that the thing was getting closer, as I could hear Bronco putting his nose right next to the glass, barking louder and louder.

Then the barking stopped.

Finally, I opened my eyes. My meditation instructor had opened the door for Bronco, and he was sniffing the air outside quickly.

Whatever it was, it must have been scared off by the dog.

Then next day I asked my meditation instructor, "Do you think that was rilly a demon Bronco was seeing?"

And he said, "Let's just put it this way: It wasn't anything friendly."

Actually, that's the second time I've seen Bronco barking at the same spot, through the French doors. The first time, I was alone with the dogs, housesitting. It was around the same time of night: about 1:30am. That time I looked out the glass on the doors and didn't see anything. When I opened the door to see better, Bronco stopped barking, just like he did the second time.

The only way I can describe the bark is when a dog sees a stranger that poses some danger to itself or its master. It's a very loud and passionate bark--not just like it's looking at a cat or something. And then it increases in frequency and intensity, as if the thing it's seeing is getting closer, just outside the door.

Nothing like that, but it was really rainy, and all the highways had stalled cars that backed up the traffic alot.
