After all he could be drawing that big pension and sipping mint julips down there in Texas, also driving his Ford pickup around bragging about his ranch and laughing about the big mess he created!

This question gave me such a big laugh I was compelled to respond! No, I don't think he wishes he'd lost the last election. i don't think he wants to lose ANYTHING. But, not too far down the line, I guess he'll be doing the things you mentioned! As for the "mess"--I wonder who will ever be able to clean it up! I wouldn't wish that on anyone!

No. Nobody wishes they had ever lost. I doubt that even LBJ wished in 1967 that he had lost the '64 election.

But, now that I think about it, I wonder if Nixon could have been prosecuted for the 1969 watergate scandal after he was out of office (if he were out in 1973, for example). If not, I suspect Nixon must have had some second thoughts about going for the second term. Nixon thought at the time (astoundingly) that the president was above the law, so he never imagined what was going to happen to his political career.

But think about this: most people do not think that their success in getting into office was the origin or in any way related to their downfall. They look at the political opposition, the "liberal" media, their detractors, and place all blame there.

This is kind of a silly question. Heck no! He wouldn't trade his position with anyone. I'd wager he won't go even when it's time.
He is on a Power High, much like a Sugar or Caffeine High. Only I think it's gone to his head. He is beginning to believe he is GOD, therefore above the laws. With any luck, he will become a lame duck November 7th. I just hope he doesn't act like the spoiled little rich kid, which seems like the immature thing he would do, if he loses a bunch of his cronies. Such as using his pen to veto everything that puts limits on his powers.

Naturally, there is a possibility that he wonders about alternate careers, adventures and life-styles,...we all do, even the person asking this question.

Persons who do not, on occasion, think of any alternate life styles and where they would have directed them, are people who seldom dream or who have a disrupted imagination.

Most of what we do, in this world, is closely related to the choices that we make as we go along. That is the way life goes for people who have the privilege and freedom to make choices.

Slaves and people living in tyrant-ruled countries, don't have the privilege of choices. They are told what to think, what to say and what to do.

If im not mistaken it was Bin Laden and Al Qaida that created this mess when they attacked us on 9/11...i mean i could be wrong but I could have swored thats what happened. I dont think Bush woke up one day and was like you know what, lets start a war by invading Afghanistan and then Iraq and the entire middle east for no reason! There was a very very very good reason to do what we did...if the American ppl had any patriotism and werent so liberal and STUPID then this would get much easier, but thats not possible this is the same country that thinks John Kerry would have been a better option, a country that believes in putting down our soldiers who are dying for our safety and freedom rather than support them, a country that votes more on American Idol rather than our own election, a country that even watches that ridiculously stupid show, a country who gives Three Six Mafia a grammy or emmy or whatever kind of award, a country who gives Flava Flav his own tv show. This country is pathetic b/c of the liberals and the liberal media, absolutely pathetic w/ no allegiance. It comes to no surprise that 85% of our military vote Republican, b/c they have values, they are understanding and comprehend things, they arent weak minded individuals, they care about our country first rather than everyone else. This is a country where a guy running against George Bush claimed he invented the damn internet, a country where we have Govt officials saying its ok for millions of Mexicans to pour into our country and we give them more and more money while we take from our own citizens and then we cant even support our own citizens who are dying for their freedoms. Liberals are a bunch of sad pathetic self centered egomaniacal morons who are TRYING to open the floodgates to anyone wanting to kill us...I guess you believe we were wrong for entereing WWII after Pearl Harbor to?? Get a clue...the mess was started by the liberal media and the terrorists...were doing the right thing, keep on keeping George W....
