Okay I was just reading some horoscope websites and they said Gemini started like May 23-June 21 and Cancer started June 22-July 22. However, I thought it was the other way around and I thought Gemini didn't begin until the 22'nd or 23'rd of June and Cancer was the May-June? What's going on?

NO, Gemini and Cancer did NOT switch. You probably have mixed up the dates for Gemini and Cancer.
Gemini( 3rd zodiac sign, Mutable sign, Air sign)May 21-June 21
Cancer ( 4th zodiac sign, Cardinal sign, Water sign)June 22-July 22

Gemini runs from mid-May to mid-June, and Cancer runs from mid-June to mid-July.
