Since Halloween is not a holiday as far as politics go.. no.. it's not stupid...
But at the same time, If *I* could make up a calendar of when the schools days off would be... I think I'd make 'all hallows day' (the day after 'All Hallows Eve'.. AKA Halloween) at LEAST a half day, with the morning off... or preferably the whole day.
I LOVE Halloween... And I hated it when it was on a school night. :)

Tomorrow is not Saturday or Sunday so no it is not dumb. You need to grow up and quit complaining. When you're an adult, unless you become independantly wealthy on your 18th birthday, you'll have to go to work the day after and your boss won't go for those excuses.
If you attend a Catholic school, you may possibly have All Saint's Day (Nov 1) off but probably not likely. Halloween is not a bank holiday so everything is open, including schools.
