All warm-blooded people I know need it set at 77, but I think that keeps it on too much... Cold-blooded people tend to like it at 65...
I keep mine at 74!!! But when you are at work/school/out you should leave it on 65, your pets won't mind, and it will save you some green.

set it at whatever feels comfortable to you at the time. if it's too hot then go down; too cold, go up. you'll probably like it warmer in the summer and cooler during the winter just so there isn't a huge difference between inside and outside temperatures.

mine is 72 in winter and 78 in summer....I never can get it just right....I'm always hot in summer and cold in winter...in the house...
