It has several meanings. If you sign the back of a check at a bank this is called endorsing, in other words you are stating that you are the person the check is made out to. Endorse can also refer to or mean that you recommend something. An example would be that the AMA (American Medical Association) could endorse a certain high fiber cereal which would be the same as them saying that the cereal is healthy for you. If you look the word up in the dictionary it will give you all of the meanings as well as the pronunciation (the correct way to say the word).
