There are so many issues going on in the world, you have to have a personal interest so you could rate some of them as more important than others. Example: the situation in Iraq is a major issue for the USA, Iraq, as well as many Middle Eastern countries, but if you work at a dairy farm in China, a possibility of an Avian Flu outbreak may be the #1 issue in the world for you!!!

1. Pollution, depletion of natural resources, global warming.
2. Health and nutrition.
3. Population explosion
4. Poverty

All are interlinked. If we can collectively solve one problem, others will fall into place. Yet, everything we do seems to exacerbate each problem and create new problems. We need to realize this fact.
