Queen Elizabeth II is the Head of the Commonwealth, and as such is the symbol of the free association of its members. This title, however, does not imply any political power over Commonwealth member states, and does not automatically belong to the British monarch. In practice Queen Elizabeth heads the Commonwealth in only a symbolic capacity, and it is the Commonwealth Secretary-General who is the chief executive of the organisation.

Canada is a member of the Commonwealth.

She is queen of many countries in a similar way. She is Queen of Canada as she is Queen of Australia and Queen of New Zealand etc. She has the formal title as Queen of these countries. Make Sense? not really. As Queen of Great Britain she is the Head of the Commonwealth and the Head of State of many countries including Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Unfortunately for the Aussies, although they don't like the idea of her much I think she is still technically Head of State represented by the Governor Genral ( Vice-Regal/Viceroy) of at least the countries named above. Some countries in the Commonwealth are independent and have their own head of state (president) such as India or Pakistan - both formerly of the British Empire. Remember though a Republic is really a monarchy with an elected King. Not a democracy in the true sense. USA is a republic.

Queen Elizabeth 2 is queen of England. She's also the queen of the British Commonwealth but plays no part in our Australian government [not including the double-dissolution of Gough Witlam's Labour government in the '70s.] and these days is pretty much only famous for being famous. Hope this helps.

She's the Queen of England and England is the country that took possession of Canada from France (in the battle of the Abraham's fields) So, in theory, Canadian are English citizens (so are Australians , i think...)

she claims to be the queen of canada, even though she is obviously the queen of another country across the ocean, and apparently, many canadians believe her. go figure.

Canada, like America were early colonies of England. They still have esoteric bonds--like America, like Australia. they hold fast to secret principles that seed countries out of Rome adhere to. In plain English, they are part and parcel of the nations that Prophet Daniel foresaw in the "Image" of "Beast:" prophetically they are occasionally in the toes "feet of iron and clay."
