Ok - First edit first: I have slammed Bush for the way he talks many times, and the party many times.
Second edit: Kerry screwed up, and he admitted it;

Kerry said the comment in question was "a botched joke about the president and the president's people, not about the troops ... and they know that's what I was talking about."

Why should Kerry apologise for something he didn't say? - it goes right back to the main question I asked. Where did you get lost in the logic tree?

... it also works with Iraq... (Iraq is in the middle east... people from the middle east attacked us... Iraq attacked us)

and all liberals are hippies, since hippies are usually liberal...

and all liberals are gay... since gay people are usually liberal...

and all liberals are on welfare... since some poor people that vote Democratic are on welfare...

and all liberals support terrorists... because why else would you question Bush...

it goes on and on...

and of course not all of them do it... and of course it happens some on the other side...

Kerry DID say. If you don't get a education you get stuck in Iraq.
Who was Kerry talking about? Bush? Bush went to the same school as Kerry! Look at the grades they got. So it cant be Bush he was talking about. So it must be Others Who? who else is stuck in Iraq? The troops. so they must not be educated.

Kerry seems to have said the troops are stupid. no he say the troops are stupid.

Kerry IS a liberal no logic sequence needed.

Don't liberals hate the troop? Oh Like John up there."send you to some hell hole where you can cause anarchy, blow up, lose your humanity" oh lib love for the troops.

Yes. Kerry did the Dems a very bad dis-service today. I can't believe that he said that. He just talks and talks and doesn't even hear what he is saying. He should be forced to apologize by Democrats. The Republicans would never let someone in their party get away with something like that. What an idiot!

No, its more like:

1. GOP getting *** kicked!
2. Hey, what if we take this sentence, and cut out a couple words, it sounds kind of bad!
3. Tell Bush to look shocked, dismayed, concerned, a little dumbfounded (he's good at the last one)
4. Call Rush, tell him to drop Parkinson's, got hot copy here!
5. All republicans now shocked, dismayed, alarmed, up in arms!
6. Put military personnel on to say they haven't heard what was said, but they are deeply hurt and hope Americans will support them at the polls.
7. Win election! Evil continues unabated, laugh at stupid Americans over bottle of imported wine.

He didn't "seem" to say the troops are stupid. He said that, if you don't get an education, you'll be stuck in Iraq. That means that the troops in Iraq are uneducated, which is not the same as stupid.

I am quite willing to believe it was simply a bad choice of words, and that he didn't actually mean that. However, by refusing to apologize for even an unintentional insult, he's simply making things worse.

You kinda sound like Lt. John Kerry. I find it funny that the army no longer has a use for him and neither does the leadership of this country. Theres a reason they ran him against George Jr., because they knew a second class senator like him would lose.

To anyone currently in the military: Never forget that your life is threatened most by the republicans, we democrats don't want to send you to some hell hole where you can cause anarchy, blow up, lose your humanity, die, be tortured etc. Kerry didn't say he hated troops, he was warning college students about going to Iraq. What, do you consider Iraq to be a great vacation spot now? It seems to me was all he was doing was looking out for our college students, and you can hardly blame someone for wanting you not to die...

Kerry needs to apologize for his choice of words. His hatred for Bush shows and has blinded him. Because he won't apologize this won't go away. He may not believe what he said but it still came out of his mouth.

Yes and it works the other way around lest you forget about the Foley scandal and all republicans were accused of being pedophiles. Time to stop generalizing on both sides!!!!

The only reason I think the liberals hate the troops is that they've supported Kerry's terrible speech
