i recently saw this public bathroom and the womens had a sticker on the door that said it had a baby changing table inside but the mens bathroom did not have a sticker on the door. i had always just assumed that mens bathrooms had that but now im not sure. i dont think its fair that if a woman and man are togher in public the woman has to always change the diaper. also, it isnt fair that if a woman is by herself in public with a stinky baby she could change its diaper while a man would just have to put up with it.

I'd estimate about half do and half don't. More modern places like shopping malls do have changing stations in the men's room. Obviously stores like Babies R Us have them.

I have changed my son on the floor of a men's room, no fun at all.

Bathroom Tables

Most do not. However many malls have family bathrooms that anyone can use and it will have a changing table. Lets face it though. This isn't about fair. It is about what is practicle. Most of the time the baby is with only the mother or even when with both parents the mother is usually the diaper changer. It's not that big of a deal.

Slowly but surely these things are changing. My husband and I drove from Ohio to Florida and most of the men's restrooms had changing tables. There has also been a "family restroom" trend in which mothers, fathers, infants, and children can take care of needs together. Woman can nurse, fathers can change diapers, the stalls are extra large to accommodate many family members, and the stalls also have two toilets in them.

While it is horrible that men do not have the diaper changing privileges (if you call that a privilege) my husband actually prefers changing our son in the car as opposed to a dirty stall.

Some places around here do, but some don't. My husband has went into the ladies room to change diapers before. Not the kind with all the stalls, the kind that's just a bathroom. No one said anything to him. And some places here have the combined restrooms, so it doesn't matter.

Good question - they SHOULD! If they don't, compalain to the manager of that place, it should even be a law.
Until then, I believe they sell portable changing tables that would be handy. Or bring a blanket, put the toilet seat down, and put the blanked down, and change baby on that. I know that's horrible, but it would work in emergency situations.
I really dont' think most women would mind it either if a man just went into the women's room just to use the changing table. Mothers would more than understand.

sometimes there is a disabled/baby change room next to the mens and ladies, its nice to be fair to men who are taking care of babies, but truth is, 98% of public men's bathrooms are putrid.

the future is changing.. I have seen a few baby change rooms for men or women.

Yes. Some mens bathrooms do have changing tables in them. They are also coming out with more family restrooms which are very nice.

Yes, there are baby changing stations in men's bathrooms. Though i don't have a child and don't pay attention to what kind of bathrooms have them (ie. department store, restaraunt) i doubt all men's bathrooms have them. But most public bathrooms in large buildings will most likely have them!!!
