You make good points...I have no clue why, in this day and age, there still seem to be large numbers of uneducated people who do not have access to the basics on birth control and all the side effects/dangers/statistics...or why the people giving them these products are not taking the time to do basic patient education. Good luck and God bless!

Unfortunately, sometimes our state governments prefer to keep us in the dark about all matters sexual. In the state that I am currently living, teachers may not teach about anything other than abstinence. You would not believe some of the really warped things that I have heard come out of teenagers' mouths about birth control. Or maybe you would. It's just sad.

So, we can't tell you about birth control, and if you're raped or the condom breaks, we don't have to tell you about the morning after pill (and pharmacists don't have to fill it), and if you want an abortion, you're screwed there too, unless you're dying, because we've banned that, too.

Welcome to beautiful South Dakota. (I'll get off my soapbox now - this is a major pet peeve of mine - can you tell???)
