she has been seriously overlooked at AWARD WINNING ceramonies?...I know she has been nominated, but what will it take?

I have to agree, she is definetly overdue for an award...ESPECIALLY if halle berry got one b4 she did n it was for Monster's Ball??!!? dont get me wrong i love Halle Berry but come on now...winnin an award for her role in Monster's Ball??? anyway, Angela Bassett should have gotten one, for any movie she's played in. I think the key to winnin an award is for her to play in a drama film, with celebrities who have also won Awards.

Yes, I agree. She beats the heck out of Halle Berry any day of the week. I don't know why everyone thinks Halle Berry is so darn great. She isn't half the actress Angela Bassett is. She's okay, but Angela Bassett, hands down!

She is a great actress, but look for example Paul Newman, who was nominated forever and finally won when he was in his sixties.
Any day she will receive a well deserved award for her career.

yes, she's a really good actress. i'm going to have to pull the race card on this one. she's a black woman. and honestly, most really good black actresses don't get the recognition they deserve. simple as that.
