I feel like Answers is so superficial and doesn't really delve into interesting or intellectual topics. My favorite artists are Heironymous Bosch, MC Escher, and Salvador Dali but I enjoy many many more.

Yes! I do! The only problem is that everyone has a different definition of what "art" is. And we tend to receive a formal education that is more skill based than mind opening. I love to paint, and techniquely what I do is 'art', or so I am told. I paint because it is my Zen place.

I find that few people slow down to notice what is beautiful, interesting, or even just thought-provoking. Perhaps you find that frustrating as well. I love the work of Van Gogh and J. Ruth Gendler, and Aboriginal artist Gail Sinclair (the fact that she is a relation is moot). Perhaps you need to ask more pointed questions. I am so woefully ignorant about art that I've not heard of Bosch... but I'm going to find out. Good Luck - Andrea

I'm a big admirer of MC Escher but not to fond of Dali. I love Norman Rockwell, pictures of real life as it was once seen in this country. Art and poetry seem to be a dying art (no pun intended). Where is the real talent?

Yes, everybody loves art...people in my opinion are also arts.

If anyone doesn't love art, it would be impossible to judge the things that are 'look good' or 'nice' in their opinions.

Human is also a form of art...I would say a complex one. Everyone is created unique...you and me are only ONE in the whole world. The thing that you like is not necessary what the others like. The characters, likings etc. of everybody are not exactly the same...and these factors change over the time.

sure. lots of people do. and answers only delves into topics that people bring up. ask art questions, and you're bound to get a few good responses. but be careful--the powers that be on this site have odd ideas of what is and what is not appropriate.
