Yes. If you start your active birth control pills now, the most you will get is some spotting for your period. Most likely you wont get anything at all. If you are already on bc just skip the inactive pills.

No birth control will not stop you from having your periods..Birth control is to help get your periods on the right track that way every month you will have it about the same time..

Oh ya if you start taking it now and if your vacay is to happen during the week of your period dont wait the week that your supposed to be off just keep taking active pills and it wont come

yes taking birth control pills will stop your period...i have done it before just don't take the one that are for the time when you come on (non hormones)

Now I'm no medical expert, but if you begin taking Ortho-Tricyclen and you do not take the placebos you will not have your period. You didn't say when you were going on vacation, so I don't know if it will kick in by that time.
