my baby is 2 months old. i am not having a regular cycle, they are 2 wks apart. would i be ovulating yet? my cervix is open and soft too. should i be using birth control at this time? my child is not breast feed. thanks.

Yes you could be ovulating. It takes most women a few months to return to normal but it is possible. Many women come into their three month postpartum check up and are shocked when they are told they are pregnant. If you are sexually active and don't want to become pregnant you should use birth control.

Oh My GoOdNesS...if you want another baby soon, dont use birth control, but from personal experience....i am pregnant again and didnt get on bc. i had no normal period after i had my baby in May. Now im 8 wks pregnant with spawn # 2 lol. thank God im happy about it...some would cry. but after you have a baby, u are very fertal. Be careful and get a post partum check up! they will put u on birthcontrol then. Best of luck hun!!!

I've heard that women are very fertile in the 2-3 months after having a baby. I know someone who had trouble for years regarding conceiving. She had baby #1 then w/i about 3 months she was pregnant again.

the doctor usually says that you can get pregnant within weeks of giving birth.

you should be on birth control if you dont want to get pregnany again!
