I guess every guy is different. My preferences are natural with good healthily skin. If a guy is looking for some one to be his mate and raise his kids, a healthily appearance is most appealing and like myself find pheromones rising.

A woman looks more appealing when she is more natural, Fresh after a shower, dressed to suit the occasion and with the minimum of makeup. The more artificial stuff you use to make yourself extra presentable, you end up getting the other fella wondering if this is the real thing.Simply because you are showing off what you want the world to see. To me, beautiful is exactly what you have, the looks you posses and the way you present, project and carry yourself through any situation.

I looked into the gender studies section because I was curious about peoples views on gender roles. I personally think gender roles are obsolete. I don't think the man should always have to pay for dinner, and I think women should be paid the same, not better or worse. I'm all for women in the workplace, but I don't think gender should effect your eligibility for a job. If I had my way it would be illegal to ask for race and gender on an application. I think it's wrong to use sex for leverage in a relationship (It happens more than you think.), and I think it's wrong to call all women gold diggers. (The only time I call a woman a gold digger is if her only interest in me is money.) There are plenty of women on this forum that are just as disrespectful of men. I have pointed out twice today the resentment and mud slinging on this forum. Have I personally been disrespectful towards you? For the most part I think I've been polite.

It's more about the type of person you're looking for. If you're so worried about what type of make-up to where you are already headed down the wrong path. You're already giving up who you are and your personality if you're willing to change your appearance based upon the chance of meeting a man. An opportunistic man would see questions like this an opportunity to control & dominate you. You're trying too hard and you will probably continue to try too hard and get used in a very bad way. Find out who you are and become comfortable and confident in yourself. Decide what type of man you want to be with and go after them. If you want to mold yourself a little bit for a specific person that's one thing but don't sell yourself.
Again there is no correct answer to this. I had girlfriends who wore lots of makeup and in a very good way but I will say I married the woman who wore less. In the long run do you want to be high maintenance or low....

I like the "Ivory Soap Girl." Fresh, health looking skin. Make up should be used sparingly to cover up flaws. I know an Hispanic girl model/actress with a lot of print-ad work and many movies to her credit. She has a light patch of skin ( about the size of a quarter). I can understand a little make up to cover a "flaw" like that.
I saw a picture on a magazine and couldn't tell if it was Gwen Stefani or Chiquira. I think it was Gwen Stefani. It was so made up that it looked cupie dollish, fake, looked like Chuckie.
Also, despite what women say, there are NO make-up controversies. Whether to use lip liner or not is a big (so called) make up controversy. There is no controversy. If you are a make up artist on a film and want to make a woman look whorish: just put some lip liner around her lips, instant bimbo.

You want to add light accents to the natural beauty you already have.I think a women with alot of make up on is un attractive to look at,and for the guys i would say they are wondering who they have after the make up is off! A touch of light shadow, some mascara, and lip stick, does great! Cover girl has a new fall look that isnt too much, check it out!

Go with the more natural look. Those magazines make big money on selling ads to the cosmetic and clothing industries so what do you think they promote in the articles? Stick with your natural beauty, not what someone else says you should look like

Fresh natural looking makeup, ALWAYS... they would be rather embarassed to be carrying a painted china doll with them, they want to flaunt and feel that their girl is naturally so beautiful...not beacuse she has tone of makeup on in an effort to look tolerable.
Pretty confident about this...
